The construction of a new vivarium building for the maintenance of laboratory animals has been completed in the branch of the RSE at the National Center of Expertise in Almaty. 

The research complex consists of 2 sections - a sanitary unit and an insulator with a total area of 12.5 sq.m.

To date, the vivarium contains 6 rabbits and 30 mice, which are under the continuous supervision of specialists.

The vivarium is an important part of the laboratory, where samples for household chemicals and perfumes and cosmetics will be tested for the following indications:

• skin-irritating effects;
• sensitizing effects
• effects on the mucous membranes of the eyes;
• skin-resorptive actions.
