During the meeting, draft amendments to TR CU 029/2012 were discussed. These amendments provide for adjustments to terminology, the scope of application of food additives, the conditions for transferring additives from raw materials and components, clarification of microbiological safety indicators, including requirements for enzyme preparations regarding mycotoxin content, as well as specific provisions for the labeling of flavorings in complex food additives and processing aids (in transport packaging and consumer products).
The draft amendments were prepared at the initiative of the Committee that developed TR CU 029/2012, in accordance with the Procedure for Developing Technical Regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union.
Following the review, the Republic of Kazakhstan plans to initiate the inclusion of the draft amendments on the agenda of the next meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
